Before Novoskin
— Severe pain, edema, blister formation and areas of dermal necrosis
— Primary surgical treatment of the burn surface on day 2
— Before Novoskin, antiseptic dressings were used without significant effect
Treatment stages
The entire affected area was debrided and mechanically cleaned; nonviable tissue was removed. On day 3 after the burn, three Novoskin dressings were applied to the full area of injury.
Two dressing changes were performed at an 8-day interval.
