Trophic ulcers of the shin and foot

Before Novoskin

— Ulcer defects with fibrinous coating and inflamed edges — No healing for 2 years

Treatment stages

Ulcer defects were debrided: fibrin was removed and wound edges were treated. Novoskin dressing was applied to the granulating surfaces of both the shin and foot. Dressing changes were performed every 7–10 days. After the first change, pain decreased and granulation tissue grew actively. Complete epithelialization of both wounds was achieved within 3 weeks without skin grafting.

Results

After 1 week
active granulation formation, reduction in ulcer area
After 2 weeks
onset of marginal epithelialization
After 3 weeks
complete healing of both wounds without skin grafting
Outcome
skin even and elastic, without signs of scarring
Review Лечащий врач
Novoskin showed pronounced regenerative properties even in chronic trophic ulcers. After the first dressing change the patient reported pain relief and visible improvement—an excellent outcome after a two-year history without healing.
